Quality of life

An index that incorporates all the factors that might impact on an individual’s life, including factors such as the absence of disease or infirmity and also other factors which might affect their physical, mental and social well-being. The Quality of life is quantified on a scale from 0 to 1, with 0 representing death and 1 perfect health. There are some ways to determine the quality of life. One system that does so is EQ-5D.
There are a lot of analysis that use Quality of life as a parameter to value the influence a disease has on someone's life. For example analysis that use QALY or LYG.
